Every week LagunaBeach.com will be spotlighting artists and musicians showcasing this summer at the Festival of Arts and Sawdust Festival. This week, we talked to photographer Robert Hansen.
I was in my third year of college at Drake in the Midwest when I was given a Nikormat 35 mm for Christmas. Needless to say, I became obsessed and passionate about my new hobby photographing in the countryside where Clint Eastwood filmed “The Bridges of Madison County.” I continued on with my studies at Drake to get my BS in Marketing, but also decided that I would pursue my new-found passion for photography by enrolling at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. So it was my passion for photography that lead me to switch my career.
